Taking Good Pre-ride Photographs

Before a ride begins, the owner needs to take a few images through our site. These images provide the proper documentation to protect the owner should anything happen during the trip.

MOTORCYCLE IMAGES

First, Twisted Road will prompt you to take a handful of motorcycle images. The purpose of these is to document existing damage (or lack of damage!) to the bike. Some recommended images are:

  • Two side views (one of each side)
  • Rear view
  • Front view
  • Tires (one of each tire)
  • Close ups of the fuel tank, controls, and instruments
  • Any other closeups that will provide Twisted Road with a good understanding of motorcycle condition

Once these are complete, the Twisted Road platform will ask for a picture of the rider's driver's license.

DRIVER'S LICENSE IMAGE

Take the driver's license, and verify that the name on the license is the same as the name on the rental reservation, and that the image matches the person standing in front of you.

Then, take the driver's license and place it next to the odometer and snap a pic. Make sure that the text on the license is clear, and that the digits on the odometer are readable.

These images will protect the owner should there be any damage claims on the motorcycle.
