What is the Twisted Road 20-point Inspection?

The 20-point Inspection checklist can be completed by any owner with an active motorcycle listed for rent on our website. Because the motorcycles we have available for rent are independently owned, we count on owners to keep their bikes in good working order and to regularly maintain them. Owners can now show us directly they are maintaining their bikes and that their motorcycles are in good working order.

How can I complete the inspection process?

The checklist items and instructions can all be found here. Simply follow the instructions and submit your video for review. Video each item on the checklist to show us the motorcycle is working and safe. Download the PDF, video each item on the list, and submit your video. We will review it within 48 hours.

Why should I complete the inspection video?

You pride yourself on keeping your bike well-maintained, your tires fresh, and your battery adequately charged. Why do this video? Because we have so many individually owned motorcycles, we cannot inspect every single bike in person. This allows us to (virtually) verify your bike is being well taken care of so we can promote this on our website with confidence. Each bike that passes inspection will receive a badge promoting that it has passed with a date stamp. This badge will be seen by all site visitors so they can book your bike with even more confidence. A well-maintained motorcycle is more likely to be rented by the community.

Who can complete the video and what if I have multiple motorcycles listed for rent?

Each owner will be responsible for his or her own video. And each motorcycle will require its own video. The video is generally under 5 minutes long and can be done on any mobile phone.
